Health & Safety

At BruinMUN, the health and safety of delegates, advisors, and staff is our top priority. Below you will find additional information regarding our COVID-19 policies and guidelines. As UCLA and LACDPH guidelines continue to change, our website will be updated to reflect current policies. If you have any questions, please contact our Director of External Relations, Anton Stover, at external@bruinmun.org.

  • In accordance with campus public health guidelines, BruinMUN strongly recommends, but no longer requires, that all conference attendees (delegates, advisors, chaperones, etc) are up-to-date on all COVID-19 vaccinations. BruinMUN will no longer be requesting that attendees provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test prior to the start of the conference.

To promote a healthy and safe environment for all, BruinMUN and UCLA recommend that all attendees complete a COVID-19 test no more than 48 hours before the start of the conference. Attendees with positive results are asked to not attend in-person conference events.

Any updates to this policy will be communicated on our website and via email.

  • In accordance with UCLA COVID-19 protocols, delegates, advisors, and staff are recommended, but no longer required, to wear masks indoors. This policy is subject to change and any updates will be communicated on our website and via email.

Masks will be available for delegates at check-in for those delegates that would like to wear them.

  • All conference attendees are expected to monitor their symptoms leading up to, and during the conference. Attendees exhibiting any symptoms of respiratory illness, including fever or cough, are not permitted to participate in any in-person committees or conference events.

  • BruinMUN is fully committed to the health and safety of conference participants and staff. However, an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, individuals with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable. By attending BruinMUN, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.
