What materials should I bring to my committee?
This list is not exhaustive, but all of these are recommended to be brought to BruinMUN.
Laptop and charger
Paper for sending notes (post-its, index cards, etc.)
Pens or pencils
Paper or notebook for note taking
Printed out materials (notes and research)
Water (drinking fountains in every building)
Necessary medication
Snacks (there will be lunch breaks, eating during committee is by each chair’s discretion).
Payment, ideally a credit card (most restaurants near UCLA do not take cash)
Note: For Crisis Committees, laptops are not required, as there is no-tech. We also will provide crisis legal pads, so it is not necessary to purchase yourself.
Where can I find the map for BruinMUN?
The map will be provided within the Delegate Program on the day of, but you can also find it online at this link.
Where are opening and closing ceremonies? Where are delegate services?
Opening ceremonies will be located in Ackerman Grand Ballroom, on Floor Two of Ackerman Union. Closing Ceremonies will be located in Ackerman Grand Ballroom, with overflow in Moore 100. Please enter Ackerman Grand Ballroom through Wescom Terrace. Delegate services is located outside of Kaplan Hall.
Where should I go for last-minute preparation advice?
The most important resource for general committee preparation advice is the preparation guide listed above. Review your background guide, notes, and position paper and don’t hesitate to ask for help from your peers or advisors.
